We need your donations now more than ever. With the economy the way it is the donations have slowed down and have nearly stopped. We cannot stay afloat without private donations. Please don't forget us! We have rescued and rehomed nearly 900 cattle dogs since we began in February 2001. We are now in 3 cities, Arizona, Colorado and Arkansas. We cannot continue saving cattle dogs unless we have the money to do it. Thousands of Cattle dogs die every day in the shelters. If you are asking for advice or assistance of any kind, we ask that you consider the amount of time it takes to read and respond to an email. We do the best to help anyone who asks us for help. Please help us in return by making a donation. Any amount is appreciacted!! Thank you!

If you are contacting us for advice of any kind, please consider making a donation to us. It takes a great amount of time to read and respond to email and while we are happy to help, please consider our time and make a small donation. Any amount is appreciated.

What is the right training for you and your ACD?

It depends on the problems you are encountering. I encourage you to start with Mark Abbott's FAQ.

Training isn't just for problem dogs. It can be a bonding activity between you and your dog and if you are involved in a group class, it is a great tool for socialization. Training should be kept up for the life of the dog. Just like we are "trained" to go to work everyday, the dog needs work to do as well. Here are a few articles and programs for you to look at. Please note that we do not make any warranties or guarantees on these methods, they are only presented here as reading material to broaden your knowledge. Read them all and see what works best for you and your dog.

The Life and Death of an Untrained dog- something to ponder, this happens to hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats yearly/daily.
