How to Sponsor a Dog:

  1. Choose a dog or dogs from below that need sponsorship or from our adoption page (PLEASE NOTE: Every dog we take in needs veterinarian care, food, supplements, toys and a nice soft bed, so even if you do not see a dog below with a specific health issue, please consider some of our other dogs. THANK YOU!)
  2. Decide whether you want to send an item from our wish list, donate directly to our veterinarian (please call 602-690-8374), donate items from one of our online shopping affiliates or make a monetary donation using our Network For Good/First Giving pages or by mailing a Check/Money Order.
  3. Fill out the Sponsorship/Donation Form for PayPal Donations or items sent to us directly from mail order companies or print and send in with mailed check or mailed items from our wish list
  4. Make sure to include your full address, email address and the name of the dog you are sponsoring

If you would prefer not to use your credit card online, you can also send in a check/money order to:

New Hope Cattle Dogs
P.O. Box 84136
Phoenix, Az 85071-4136

If you can not provide monetary donations, please check out our wish list to see if you have an item that you can donate off of there. We are always in need of volunteers and foster homes as well. There are many things you can do to support us. We are partnered with many affiliates that offer dog related products. If you like to shop online, please go through our affiliates so that we can get a portion of your order donated. It does not cost you anything, just requires that you click on the links of our affiliates and buy stuff you would normally buy from them. In most cases, you will find the products you want at a lower cost then you would originally spend.

Zip

Zip is lame in his front left foot.  Dr. O'Rourke of Desert Dove Veterinary Clinic, Tucson AZ examined Zip on February 5, 2007.  The exam included x-rays and revealed no bone damage.  He is missing the two middle toenails.  She believes they have been ground down through the nail bed which is no longer there.  Dr. O'Rourke believes the lameness appears to be coming from soft tissue damage where the ligaments/tendons were torn at the metacarpus joint and has frozen that joint into permanent hyperextension.   She furthered consulted with Dr. Boulay, Orthopedic Specialist at Veternarian Specialists in Tucson, AZ.  He stated that the torn tissue would have to be cut and re-attached to the metacarpus.  Estimated cost is about $2200 for the surgery.  No costs were determined for resulting therapy, but we have been through this before and it may run between $500-1000. General Need

Most of the dogs we get in have a suppressed immune system and need Vitamins and Fish Oil to get their health back in order. They are also in need of a quality food to support these systems. Most times they have diarrhea and other issues that require treatment. You can sponsor any of the dogs we have for adoption by sending in a donation for their veterinary care or by donating items bought through mail order catalog. We can always use Vitamin Supplements, Canned Pumpkin, Rice, and Fish Oil to help with their health. Drs. Foster & Smith is a great resource for ordering products online. A few items that would work for us are:

ZELDA

Before Treatment Photos:

Zelda's Story:
"Hi there, my name is Zelda and I am 9 1/2 years old, when my Foster Mom found me at a local Shelter I was so scared I just stood in one spot and shook all over and it was obvious that I had an injured neck, needless to say I was on the Euthanasia List as I was considered old and unadoptable, but that didn't stop my Foster Mom from getting me out of that place. I have since been to see the Veterinarian and they say that the injury was in the muscle tissue and not in the bone so I am being treat for that and doing much better. I had been an outdoor dog all my life so I was scared to go inside but I am getting better about that, I have never had an accident in the house and will only go when taken outside. My past family gave me up because they didn't want me in their new RV so after 9 1/2 years they dumped me.

"My foster mom Shirley decided that she had to do something to relieve my pain, so she talked to Shannon, Carole and Lynne and they decided to try accupuncture. The treatments were costly, especially for an old gall like me that they didn't think would ever get adopted, so they asked their supporters for help. Help came in the way of sponsorship money and I was able to get my treatments, then a wonderful lady came along and decided to give me a forever home. No one can believe the progress I have made. I now act like a puppy, racing around and playing. I can lift my head up high with no pain. I just want to thank everyone of you from the bottom of my heart who send SPONSORSHIP money to our New Hope Cattle Dogs. I just wanted to share my new photos with you at my new home so you can see what your SPONSORSHIP did for me. I can now move my neck in every direction and I love to run and play. Without all of you I could not be the happy dog I am today. THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU, Love and Wags! Zelda

CALLIE

Before Treatment Photos:

Callie's Story:
"Hello, my name is Callie. I came into the New hope Group after I had been beat up pretty bad by a female Catahoula. I was very anemic and sick. I had an abscessed tooth that really hurt. I had tick fever and was really a mess. They nursed me back to health with good food, vitamins, love and a little TLC then they found me the bestest home in the world. I now live with a new mommy and daddy in California. I have two-legged brothers and sisters as well as feline and canine sisters. I even get to hang out with horses. My daddy takes me to work with hi almost every day. He works with horses, so while he is working, I hang out at the truck and make sure that all is well. It is really cool! I love my new home! Thanks for sponsoring me so I could get better and move out to Sunny California!"
